This project is a teamwork project. Yuyan Luo, Zixin Wang, Shiyao Guo, Yang Liu and I were fortunate enough to be a temporary group. We are committed to promoting the results of our work in Project 2 as a whole work to all fans who love parables lyrics.


First meeting

We held our first group meeting on July 25. Through this meeting, we exchanged each other’s works. Including our design ideas and goals. So we have a preliminary understanding of the content of our team. Our works are an experimental video, a dynamic illustration, and three artistic pop-up books. Coincidentally, our main colors are mainly black and white. And in the second project, our presentation forms are all videos. Each video has unique dubbing content or just right background music. After discussion, we decided to edit your work into a complete video work. This can not only form a unified visual form, but also retain the design features of each project.


We have determined the division of labor according to their respective areas of expertise and interest. Although I am not an experienced social media expert, I took the initiative to take on the job of SOCIAL MEDIA / MARKETING / COPYWRITER out of interest. And is responsible for creating an Instagram account for our team to post our work. Take the final report date of this project as the official release date of the team video. Before that, I will promote and introduce one of the works daily. I need to collect the highlights of each work and make each of them into a dynamic poster. And use these content and author’s design keywords as the main publishing content. Post as a short video on Instagram.



Personal work improvement

After the first discussion, I want to try to make some improvements to the second video of my project. I tried to add close-up shots of different parts of the picture. But after the actual operation, I found that this will affect the integrality and smoothness of the work. So in the end I decided to keep the original rendering effect.

Social media research
I analyzed the Instagram accounts of some artists and teams.

First of all, in order to establish a clearer brand image or convey more distinctive artist characteristics, works published on an account usually have uniform characteristics. For example, the work itself reflects a unified style, or a unified typesetting design for different works, so as to obtain a unified visual effect. When browsing the account, the audience can repeatedly obtain the characteristic information of this style, thereby deepening the audience’s impression of the brand.
Secondly, as an account for introducing works, the copy will mainly include the introduction of the work, the author’s information, and the association of related topics. In order to improve the audience’s understanding of the work, and promote it in related fields. In order to let more people know about us, we can publish some procedural content in the initial stage of account creation. As a record of our team’s work process.

Analysis of the content of each work
In order to better present the respective characteristics of different works, I conducted a visual analysis of your 5 works.





I made some conclusions through analysis. Everyone’s work is dominated by black, white and gray tones. If it is treated as a black-and-white film, the effect of expressing the personality of the work will be less damaged. However, the specific picture styles are different. In order to integrate different works, I thought of an open logo. Create poster frames suitable for different works with the concept of open logo.

Second meeting

In the second meeting on July 29, everyone shared their research results. I mainly shared the analysis of your works, and found some poster style cases through the conclusions of the analysis. We also confirmed the order of the final video. Everyone’s keywords correspond to the 5 levels of meaning of the parables lyrics. In this way, according to the logic from abstract to concrete, the five works naturally form a story line. Therefore, the order of my pre-publication content will follow this order.

According to the draft logo provided by the brand designer, we selected one of them after discussion as our brand image. From this, we also confirmed the specific content that needs to be included on the poster. The final poster form will be a text frame with various information, superimposed on different works. This not only retains the characteristics of each work, but also forms a unified style.

In the end, I made static square posters and dynamic posters. Mainly highlight the parables lyrics and the keywords of each work. And according to the elements of the logo, geometric shapes are added to increase the brand image characteristics.

Initial publicity

Analysis of social media operations
After several days of trial operation, our publicity has begun to take shape. The copywriting part mainly includes the title of parables, the titles of different parts named by keywords, the type of work of the project, the name of the author, and the name of the school. Through the discussion, I realized that I should increase the relevance of related topics. In order to achieve better publicity effect. According to the posting experience in the past few days, Instagram video length is limited. Our final video will be more than 15 minutes, so we decided that the final way to show the video is to upload it to youtube and share the link.

Third meeting
In the third meeting on August 3, we previewed the full video.

We confirmed the presentation effect of their respective works. Some details of the video were discussed and suggestions for improvement. And discussed the results of communication with other groups. Analyzed the strengths of other groups and the strengths of our group. Out of technical considerations, our decision is still the most suitable for our work.

In the second half of the meeting, we discussed the content sequence of the final report. Everyone sorted out the ideas and design implications of team work. Including the meaning of logo and team name, introduction in video format, and publicity on social platforms.


Fourth meeting

In the fourth meeting on August 4, we previewed the process of the final report. Regarding the report content compiled by the relevant person in charge after the last meeting, we reconfirmed the details. Later, we also confirmed the content of the demo ppt and added the QR code of the Instagram homepage.



Final work
We are trying to find all the truth in the Parables lyrics. From the five levels of Silence, Explore, Civilian, Balance and Greedy, we use photography, pop-up books and dynamic illustrations to express our own understanding. And made this story-like remix video. We hope to share new feelings with more fans of Parables lyrics.
